We would gladly recommend the excellent professional work performed by Adam Taaffe and his dedicated team at Metro Steel Services.
By way of background to support Adam, Parkwood Maintenance secured a contract to replace around 176 existing and rusting mild steel balcony handrails to 56 prestige apartments located on the South Perth foreshore. The project was large and complex involving the safe removal of the existing handrails and the installation of new 316 marine grade stainless steel handrails.
We engaged specialist stainless steel fabricator, Metro Steel Services to provide various prototype balcony handrail models which were all subject to independent engineering and design testing. These prototypes passed all tests first time and surpassed all of the Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia requirements for quality and safety.
Working closely with Parkwood Maintenance who removed the existing handrails, Metro Steel Services fabricated and installed all of the stainless steel balcony railings to the 56 apartments. The project had to be seamless in operation to ensure residents were inconvenienced for as little time as possible during the changeover of handrails and all required safety policies were observed as some balconies were at 7 stories high.
All the work carried out by Adam and his team demonstrated complete efficiency and diligence and a high professional standard in delivering the project on program and to budget. The project was completed to the full satisfaction of the Council of Owners of Haddon Place.
Metro Steel Services are our preferred contractor and we personally recommend them for similar projects without reservation or qualification.
